Ashton Learning Stage...

I simply love public holiday as it is an added bonus to the usual weekend that you get to rest and relax... Furthermore this time round, it is on a Friday, which means that I have a long weekend to spend with my family, especially my cute little monster - Ashton!

However, there are some people (like my hubby and my younger sis, Sze) who do not get to enjoy most of the public holidays unless it is their off days or when they are on leave. Hence, to them, it does not make much of a difference if there is a public holiday since it is just a normal working day.

Enough of my boring talk about public holidays! hahaha.. What have I done today?? Nothing much in particular.. Slept with Ashton till about 8am... think the reason that prompted him to wake up was because he wanted to poo poo...

My Ashton boy is in love with cup noodle! When he saw that my kitchen table had 2 cups, he pointed and insisted that he wanted to eat. He even know how to go about making cup noodle to eat cos in his recent class at Little Neuro Treem he was taught how to do it... He pressed the tab on the kettle and got real excited when water oozed out of it and into the cup noodle.

Fed him little bit of the noodle and subsequently bathed him. Ashton is also fascinated with bubbles... he simply love to play with them when he is bathing. So cute!

Another thing that he recently grew to like is powder!. When you pour some on his hands, he will spread on his legs.. but quite often he also make a mess on the bed... hahaha but guess it is part and parcel of learning.

Now, he is also into flashcards so everytime before he sleep, he will take the deck of flash cards one by one for me to read to him and he will imitate what I said. He can read out some simple alphabets and also some one syllable words...

Ashton and Brownie

Wow... I cannot even remember when is the last time I had posted on this god forsaken blog of mine. My sister Sze had been telling me, "Wei, why you so long never update your blog?"

Sigh.... Really feel damn old now... especially when you have a child of your own, will you realise how much time and energy you need to spend on him just to keep him entertained and make him happy....
Of course, I also do not deny the joy and happiness that he will bring you after playing with him. It is something priceless!!! So I really treasure my time spent with Ashton.

I love to see the way he smile; cheeky but it melts my heart. Ok I should not divert from what I want to blog about today.

Ashton and Brownie - My sister's toy bear given by her boyfriend, Freddy!

Hmmm... not sure when did it started.. but Ashton is now infatuated with Brownie. Ashton is into role-playing so he wants to act like an adult and Brownie is his baby. What he loves to do is to tuck Brownie in bed and cover him with blanket, he will even give him a good night kiss when I asked him to do so. So cute and endearing!

What fascinated me today is that when I asked him to pack up to go back home, he went to find Brownie and asked him to bring Brownie along as well. I tried asking him to pass Brownie to my mum, but he simply refuses to, so I relented and let him have his way.

On our way home, he will carry Brownie like a baby and sometimes give him a pat on his back to show that he is sayanging him. And in the car, I asked him to put Brownie to sit on his own. He refuses and he insists to sit together with him.

So now, Brownie is back at my house, sleeping on my bed, lying besides a fast asleep Ashton. Guess he will have sweet dreams with Brownie by his side.
